An important problem is to increase the temperature modes of exploitation technical rubber products by raising the heat resistance of elastomeric materials. One of the main directions of solving this problem is the use of elastomeric compositions having highly dispersed fillers in their formulations. Perlite, which is produced by heat treatment of aluminum silicate perlitic stock of volcanic origin, is one of the best porous insulating materials. In the work the possibility of using perlite filler for the creation of elastomeric compositions has been shown. The influence of the filler at high temperature aging of rubber based on ethylene-propylene-diene rubber has been considered. Studies have revealed that the resistance to oxidative aging increases with the introduction of perlite to the rubber vulcanizates. Thus, perlite is a promising ingredient in rubber blends that help to increase the heat resistance of vulcanizates, while saving the physical and mechanical and kinetic parameters.
